Founded in 2003 by Senzo Tsabedze, Afrirent began with two trucks and big dreams. They have grown from the first black-owned waste fleet management company in South Africa to a leader managing a substantial fleet of nearly 12,000 cars, trucks, trailers, and superlinks. Expansion has seen the inclusion of other complimentary and diverse environmental, and tourism solutions.

- With three major workshop facilities, we’re designed to be an all-in-one solution, servicing and maintaining truck and trailer combinations under one roof. Our team, comprising OEM-accredited technicians and support staff, operates around client requirements, to maximise asset time utilisation.
- Rent-to-Own business, Sobantu, offers alternative, traditional vehicle financing. The Rent-to-Own initiative allows individuals to rent a vehicle over a period instead of getting tied to stringent bank loans and without intricate credit checks or loans. This makes it accessible to people with financial challenges to own late-model, quality-tested and approved pre-owned vehicles.
- Afritracker represents our cutting-edge vehicle tracking and fleet management approach. With a recovery rate of 90%, this proprietary system offers comprehensive management capabilities. From simple user interfaces to real-time vehicle status and location reporting via SMS, Afritracker provides a host of functionalities. The system also includes a secondary ghost immobiliser, route planning and scheduling software, zone management, and driver tags for a seamless fleet management experience.
