Johannesburg, 28 February 2024 – Afrirent Holdings, a leading provider in the transport, logistics, and tourism sectors, has appointed Ms Thenjiwe Tsabedze as its new Chief Executive Officer, effective March 1, 2024. Concurrently, Senzo Tsabedze, the incumbent CEO, will transition to the role of Chairperson of the Board of Directors.

With over a decade of experience as Chief Financial Officer and Managing Director, Thenjiwe Tsabedze brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to her new role. Her extensive background in financial, operational, and risk management makes her the ideal candidate to lead Afrirent Holdings into its next phase of growth and innovation.

Commenting on her appointment, Thenjiwe Tsabedze said, “I recognise the importance of financial, operational, and risk management within Afrirent Holdings. As CEO, I see Afrirent as more than just a company. We are a force for progress, leveraging technology, expertise, and a relentless commitment to customer satisfaction to shape the future of transportation, logistics and leisure industries.”

Thenjiwe Tsabedze emphasised her continued dedication to steering Afrirent towards financial excellence and enduring success, underpinned by unwavering commitment to ethical standards and visionary leadership. “A vigilant eye on financial performance, maximising investment returns, and delivering transparent financial reporting form the cornerstone of my approach,” said Mrs Tsabedze.
She brings a robust educational background to her new role, having obtained a bachelor’s degree in technology in Internal Auditing from the Tshwane University of Technology, in addition to a National Diploma in Internal Auditing from the same institution in 2003. Furthermore, she recently obtained an MBA at Edinburgh Napier University.

Thenjiwe is ready to lead Afrirent Holdings into the future, and excited for the adventures ahead, both professionally and with her family.
Senzo Tsabedze, the outgoing CEO, expressed his confidence in Thenjiwe’s ability to lead Afrirent Holdings into the future. He stated, “I am thrilled to hand over the reins to Thenjiwe, whose dedication and expertise make her the perfect choice for CEO. As Chairman of the Board, I look forward to supporting her in this new role and working closely with the entire leadership team to ensure continued success for Afrirent Holdings.”
